  1. Here’s a great project that I had the pleasure to work on recently. Last autumn a customer brought her lovely dog Sally into the workshop. Sally is a gorgeous chocolate cockapoo and I spent a happy while giving her a big fuss and a couple of biscuits in the workshop.

Sally’s owner asked if I could sculpt a pendant for her of Sally’s portrait so I took a few photos and a few days later I had some sketches to send on.

Sally’s owner chose the design she preferred from my sketches and I then started work on the commission. I created the portrait pendant of Sally using a technique which means I can sculpt plenty of texture into the silver pendant – essential for the wondrous curly fur that is so iconic to the cockapoo breed. The final piece was finished, hallmarked and packed up to send in time for Christmas.

This was a great commission to work on and I was really pleased with the result, as was Sally’s owner. I was also thrilled to make friends with another wonderful dog – always welcome in the workshop!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well during this awful time. The pandemic and its ongoing nature has been incredibly hard on us all and also very difficult for small businesses like mine.  I have been able to survive as a one-woman endeavour with no small thanks to you, my wonderful customers both online and also those who visited my workshop during the times between last years lockdowns. Without your fantastic custom and engagement, along with lots of wonderful commissions you have helped me endure these very difficult times. My workshop is closed during the lockdown but when it’s over I look forward to seeing all my customers - regular and new -  in my workshop at Caudwell’s Mill and, looking further into the future, welcoming folk back to my workshop to attend my classes. Stay safe and see you all soon. In the meantime, I invite you to check back here for more blog posts in the coming weeks. Oh! and if you would like to receive a heads up when my classes re-open, please subscribe to my newsletter using the box at the bottom of the page.

  3. Very excited to announce that I will be opening my new workshop at the beautiful and historic Caudwell’s Mill at Rowsley. I’ll be opening my shop and also offering classes in jewellery making from early April. Come and spend some time in my workshop in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District and make your own piece of solid silver jewellery to take away with you. You’ll also be able to browse and buy from my own jewellery collection, all designed and handmade by myself on site in the workshop. There’s a bit of work to do before I open the doors in a few weeks time but I’m taking bookings now for classes in silver clay. For more information and to book click here.
