Terms & Conditions

This page states the terms and conditions that www.rockpapersilver.co.uk supplies products to customers. By using and purchasing from www.rockpapersilver.co.uk the customer is agreeing to be bound to the terms and conditions stated below.

 

Products

Some of my items are ready to dispatch and some items are made to order. This will be stated on the product page. The made to order item you receive will display subtle differences to the pictures shown that represent them – this is due to the handmade aspect of their creation and is part of the individuality of the piece of jewellery you are buying.

I aim to represent the items as closely as possible through the photos and description but please be aware that different monitor settings that are out of my control may show colours that are slightly different to the actual product – for example the colour of gemstones / enamel.

 

Bespoke Orders

  • A quote will be provided for the bespoke order or commission. This quote is valid for 14 days.

  • Any extra items such as chains etc are not included in the quote

  • Postage is extra and if required will be added to the final balance

  • Once you have approved the bespoke design and the price you are required to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once paid work will begin on the order.

  • Once the order is made the remainder of the balance will be payable.

  • Payments can be made via a secure payment link or via a payment page on the Rock Paper Silver website

  • An estimate of production timescale will be given with the quote. Completion times can vary but on average take 8-12 weeks depending on workload. Please note that due to sometimes unforeseen factors and use of external services (ie hallmarking) any timescale given cannot be guaranteed.

  • When customers supply their own gemstones, every care is taken during the making and setting process. However, due to the nature of working with gemstones, I cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur.

  • Bespoke orders are non-refundable

 

 

Prices
All prices are in GBP. The base price for sterling silver can vary from day to day and as a result the prices of certain items for sale on rockpapersilver.co.uk are subject to change without notice.

  

Payment & Ordering
To place an order, add an item to the shopping cart by clicking the "add to basket" button on the item page. If you want to order more than one of the product you can change the quantity in the box next to the add to basket button. Please note that multiple ordering is not possible on "one-off" items.

Rock Paper Silver accepts all major credit cards through PayPal, the world’s leading secure payment provider. You don’t need a PayPal account to purchase from Rock Paper Silver, simply select the “pay as guest” option when you are taken to the PayPal site.  At no time do PayPal or Rock Paper Silver have access to your financial details.

Payments by cheque are welcome, choose the option after adding your item to the basket and proceeding through the checkout process. Orders will be processed after payment has cleared.

 

Dispatch and Delivery

Orders are dispatched once ready and full payment has been made

Please ensure your delivery address is correct. Rock Paper Silver Jewellery cannot be held accountable for orders being sent to incorrect addresses

Please ensure you select the correct shipping at checkout

All UK orders are shipped via tracked Royal Mail services.

I cannot be held responsible for delays beyond my control once posted.

UK Delivery and Postage Costs
Purchases up to £49 are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 and cost £3.99. Purchases over £49 are sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery (tracked and insured) and cost £10.99

Dispatch Time
Some of my items are ready to dispatch and some items are made to order. If an item is in stock I aim to send out your purchase as soon as possible and within 5 working days following cleared payment unless there is a longer estimate lead time on the item which will be stated on the product information page.  Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends will be processed the next working day.  I will email you when I receive your order to let you know when you can expect to receive your purchase.

During busy periods – for example Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, the made to order time may be longer. Bespoke and personalised items and those which require a hallmark will take longer to dispatch and you will be given an estimated dispatch date when ordering such items.

If you require more than 2 of any item please contact me in advance so I can advise on an estimated dispatch time.

Hallmarking
I am registered at Sheffield Assay Office. All my work complies with the current UK Hallmarking legislation. Items made from silver under the weight of 7.78 grams are exempt from hallmarking but some of my smaller items are hallmarked. Hallmarking guarantees the precious metal content of the item you are buying.

 

Class bookings
Classes must be paid in full at time of booking to secure your place. When booking with a voucher the voucher booking reference must be quoted at the time of booking to secure a place.

Refunds & Returns
I really hope you will be thrilled with your purchase but if you would like to return your item I offer a 14 days return policy. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations.

If you would like to return your purchase, please notify me in writing within 14 days of receiving your item by emailing returns@rockpapersilver.co.uk or by submitting a returns form which can be found by clicking here.  I am not obliged to accept returns that are not notified in advance or that are requested later than 14 days of receipt.

The item must then be returned within 14 days. In order to refund the item, it must be returned in a re-saleable condition with the original gift box. It is strongly recommended that items are returned using a trackable service so you have proof of sending the item. Where possible please use the original packaging or equivalent to ensure the safe return of the item.  I am unable to issue a refund on return items that are lost in transit without proof of posting or items that are damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging.

The refund does not include return postage – this must be paid by the buyer. Only when an item is received by the customer in a faulty or damaged state will postage costs be refunded. Evidence of such damage, along with proof  of posting / receipt will be required in this instance.

Please note that bespoke or personalised items cannot be returned. Earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned unless they are faulty however refunds or replacements still apply if such items are damaged in transit.

Refunds are usually made as soon as the item is received. In accordance with Consumer Rights Regulations, payment will be made no later than 14 days of receipt of the returned item.

If your item arrives damaged please document it with photos and let me know so we can address the issue with the delivery company
