These solid silver rings are made from real acorn cups I have collected from ancient oak woodlands in Derbyshire. The Acorn cups are cast in solid silver using the age-old "lost wax" process and then mounted onto textured silver and formed into a ring. A single garnet gemstone nestles inside each acorn cup - the perfect place as the light refracts around the inside of the textured surface and illuminates the gemstone.
This season I have made 4 rings to choose from. Each ring is unique and captures the individual beauty of the acorn cup. Each ring is shown in more detail below.
