Raw Ruby Crystal and Silver Pendant

This rough ruby crystal has been set in fine silver with a sterling silver base. The fine silver follows the contours of the stone adding to the natural organic shape of the stone while the flat back makes it comfortable on the skin.
Apart from been cleaned and given a modest facet, this dark raspberry coloured ruby is almost as rough as it was when it was hewn from the earth -  it contains lots of little unique features which are part of its  appeal - expect to see small fissures, inclusions of zoizite ( a mineral that often forms in conjunction with ruby ) and of course a rough surface!
